Team            Harris Poll  Coaches Poll  Computer averages
1 Texas            1              1                   1
2 Alabama        2              2                   2
3 Penn State     3              3                   7
4 Oklahoma      4              5                   4
5 USC              5              4                  10
6 Oklahoma St. 8              8                   3
7 Georgia         9              9                   6
8 Texas Tech    7              6                  11
9 Ohio State    10           10                    5
10 Florida         6             7                   12
11 Utah          12           12                     8
12 Boise State 13           13                     9

If both Utah and Boise State finish the season in the top 12, only one can go to a BCS bowl game.
We need a playoff system to determine national champion.  Not opinion polls.

Week 1, 2009 season.  Boise State did all right against Oregon.  Boise State 19 Oregon 8, 1-0 for the season.  It won't matter what BSU's final record is, they will not be able to play for the BCS football championship.  A playoff system is needed, not a BCS fantasy football league.
Week 2, BSU 48 Miami (Oh) 0,  2-0 for the season BSU scored in all four quarters. AP Rank # 10
Week 3, BSU 51 Fresno St. 34, 3-0 for the season BSU scored in all four quarters. Good game. AP Rank # 8
Week 4, BSU 49 Bowling Green 14, 4-0 for the season. AP Rank # 5
Week 5, BSU 34 UC Davis 16, 5-0 for the season. AP Rank # 6
Week 6, Bye week, AP Rank # 5
Week 7, BSU 28 Tulsa 21, 6-0 For the season. AP Rank # 6
Week 8, BSU 54 Hawaii 9, 7-0 for the season. BSU scored in all four quarters. AP Rank # 6
Week 9, BSU 45 San Jose State 7, 8-0 for the season. BSU scored in all four quarters.  AP Rank # 5
Week 10, BSU 45 Louisiana Tech 35, 9-0 for the season. BSU scored in all four quarters.  AP Rank # 6

Yep, but still it was a fun game to watch, we kept switching back to peek and the Seahawks game but that went dry so primarily BSU was on, and I was glad for it..,

BSU gets to play TCU in the Fiesta bowl for a BCS game.  What a bunch of crock.  Throwing both non BCS teams into the same game is segregation, keeping them away from the other BCS'ers so what happened last year will not be repeated.  The BCS is a bunch of fantasy bowls, not a national championship series.  With that said, congratulations to Alabama and Texas for getting into the title game.  The BCS BS does not distract from their achievement.  Both games should be worth watching.

The score of the Fiesta Bowl was BSU 17 TCU 10.  Being the game was a defensive battle and a close game, some commentators are saying that neither team belonged in the Fiesta Bowl and the game should have been relegated to a minor bowl.  Being both teams were from non BCS conferences I can understand this position.  By being in the Fiesta bowl, these teams took away two slots from BCS conference teams.  With both teams being undefeated going into the game, one team was guaranteed to have an undefeated season.  If these teams had played other foes, it is possible that both teams would be undefeated for the season and this was unacceptable.  That would mean there would have been three teams that went through the season undefeated.  With two of these teams having no chance at a national championship.   Some people called the Fiesta Bowl, the kiddy table bowl.  I guess this means that the kids should be seen and not heard.  The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) is not and does not supply a clear cut champion.  Until they have a real playoff  series, The BCS is just a fantasy series that does not define anything.  The remaining two teams that have not played their BCS bowl game yet, deserve to be there.  It is just too bad there is not another game to be played after they get done playing.  There should be a playoff series, not some more of this BCS smoke.  BSU is AP ranked #4.  The last time they were undefeated (2007), they were AP ranked #5.  I guess  the 2010 regular season, the highest they will get is AP ranked #3, if they go undefeated of course.  I don't think BSU will go to a BCS bowl in 2011, two years in a row is a bit much for a non BCS team don't you think?

Week 1, 2010 Season.  Boise State won a very tight game against Virginia Tech.  Boise State 33 Virginia Tech 30.
1-0 for the season.  Boise State scored in all four quarters.  AP rank #3.  It won't matter what BSU's final record is, they will not be able to play for the BCS football championship.  A playoff system is needed, not a BCS fantasy football league.
