I just got back from the Badlands. We were planning out the ride and we rode for 7 hours and covered 94 miles. It was great and I found some areas that I would consider black diamond in difficulty. It was awesome and I can't wait to show everyone the area. I will let you know all the details as I finish up on the plans but it will be on May 16th and 17th and if you don't want to stay overnight that is OK.  Thanks Daryl

Sound good. Are you looking at the area south of Medora? Did you find any place to camp out?

Hi Kolin we were SW of Medora near Square Butte. I can't wait to go again. I think I am going to camp at the Buffalo Gap Campground because that is where we proposed a trail head and it will be easy for everyone to find to start the ride. It is primitive , no power water or electricity but it shouldn't be as loud as the Medora campground next to the train tracks. I was lost out there most of the day as my GPS was giving me fits by not saving my track and Icons but my son had his with as backup and hopefully I will figure out how to use the data.   Daryl

I heard this morning that Billings County is in the Extreme Fire Danger Index.  Let's hope it rains out there and things green up.  I am pupmed to go riding out there! loller
